FuturLink AP300 compatibility with Windows
May 2010 - FuturLink announces today Windows compatibility for FuturLink AP300, up to now just compatible with Linux operating system.
FuturLink AP300 is a compact hardware which when connected through USB to a computer converts it into an Access Point to send multimedia content to mobile phones via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
This compatibility with Windows opens the door to large networks of Windows devices such as Digital Signage players, PoS equipment, etc, which may now include interactivity with mobile phones in the proximity.
For ordering purposes, this equipment should now be ordered as AP300W for the Windows version and as AP300L for the Linux version.
The operating system on the computer may now be:
- AP300L: Debian4 Etchnhalt h.1 kernel: 2.6.24 or Linux Fedora fc8 kernel: 2.6.23
- AP300W: Windows XP (SP3, 32 bits)
