FuturLink launches FuturLink InOut providing people flow valuable information

Barcelona, 22nd March 2010.- FuturLink announced today the launch of FuturLink InOut, a state-of-the-art people flow measurement system, an ideal solution for malls, stores, events, banks, etc.

The quantification of people traffic at a retail location or a public venue is valuable information to understand the consumer behavior.

Obviously the solution should have a small & compact form factor, should not be an obstacle in the way of pedestrians, should count entrances and exits separately, and should provide reliable results even in complex situations such as crowded areas, pedestrians at different speeds and groups.

This is now solved with FuturLink InOut. Using the most advanced video processing software and an intelligent camera on the ceiling, the people flow below each device can be tracked and quantified with high reliability. The camera includes a WiFi module to connect with a local router.

Statistics are provided through a web-based tool, allowing not only to measure the people flow differentiating entrances and exits, but also to compare the results from different locations and to identify the busiest timeframes.

FuturLink InOut allows you to:

- Compare traffic flows at different stores, different bank offices, different entrances to a mall, etc.

- Dimension different number of resources at each location for different timeframes, depending on the people flow.

- Compare FuturLink InOut people flow counts with FuturLink Audience viewer counts and qualification.

- Etc.

FuturLink InOut does never record on video, therefore assuring privacy to viewers, who remain completely anonymous.

"FuturLink InOut is a powerful tool to analyze the consumer behavior, providing valuable information on visitors to public spaces. Live demos provided at the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona have confirmed great expectation in the market for people flow measurement solutions with higher reliability than current systems." said Merce Ruestes, FuturLink Market Strategy Manager.
